Often it is not age at all. A broken leg at thirty. Chemotherapy at fifty. A back that gives out from one day to the next. Help in everyday life has no minimum age. It only has a cause — and it rarely announces itself.
What is missing is rarely much. Someone to do the shopping. Someone who helps with dressing, does the laundry, comes along to the doctor. Who knows where the tablets are and which tea is the right one. Who sits down, asks how things are — and waits for the answer.

Your listing
Protected professional titles — such as those under the Austrian Health and Nursing Care Act (Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegegesetz) or the social care professions regulated by the federal provinces — only become publicly visible once we have verified the evidence. Please do not yet use such titles in your name or description; you can claim them in your provider area after activation. Services and area of operation are entered by you after activation, independently of this.
Frequently asked questions
What does a listing cost?
Nothing. A listing in the Prelomed care directory is free and stays free. There are no paid placements: whoever ranks higher has not paid for it, but has a more complete profile or verified credentials.
Does Prelomed take a commission?
No. Prelomed does not broker care and is not a party to any contract. Enquiries from the form go to you; the contract is concluded between you and the person enquiring. There is no placement fee and no exclusivity agreement — you can be listed with any agency at the same time.
What is verified and what is not?
We verify protected professional titles and trade authorisations: qualified nursing (DGKP), nursing specialist assistance (PFA) and nursing assistance (PA) through the Gesundheitsberuferegister, the trade authorisation for personal care (Personenbetreuung) through GISA, and Heimhilfe from the training certificate. This confirms that an authorisation existed at the time of checking. We do not assess professional suitability, the quality of your work or your reliability — Prelomed is in no position to judge those.
Why is my professional title not visible at first?
Because it is protected. Using it without authorisation is an administrative offence, and we would be spreading it. Until the evidence has been checked, the entry stays hidden. Your services, your area of operation and your contact details are unaffected and go online as soon as you are activated.
How long does activation take?
We check every listing by hand and reply by e-mail. Register enquiries are usually done the same day; submitted documents take longer. If something is missing we write to you rather than rejecting the listing.
What happens to my evidence?
It is stored encrypted, is accessible only for the check, and is deleted automatically 90 days after the check is completed. What remains is the result, the date and a checksum of the file — not the file itself.
What if my authorisation expires?
For time-limited evidence we remind you by e-mail 60, 30 and seven days before expiry. If the authorisation lapses, the entry disappears from your public profile; the listing itself remains.
Which area am I found in?
The districts you specify yourself — not your business address. That is the key difference from the doctors' directory: for a practice the address counts, for you it is where you actually travel. You can select as many districts as you like and change them at any time.
